Opening Ceremony

The Executive Director of SOYDA, Dr. Abdiqani Sheikh Omar, has opened the speech ceremony, Your Excellency Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdiaziz Sheikh Your Excellency Ambassador of Turkey-Somalia , Dr. Kanon Tohor Your Excellencies Deputy Director of Doctors world Wide Turkey Dr. Kerem, and other  Distinguished Guests, It is a great honor for me to welcome you to this inauguration ceremony. I would also like to express my deep appreciation toward all the guests including Ministry of Health, Turkish Ambassador-Somalia, Deputy Director of DWWT and other guests for sparing your time to attend this ceremony, Your very presence here invests this occasion with special meaning, We have looked forward to this event for a long time. And now that this day of dedication has come, let me also extend our warmest gratitude to everyone whose contributions have made this vision a reality. We salute those who have donated their time and talent and material resources to this project; surely I can say you have created a remarkable Nutrition and Health Center that will enhance the health and nutrition status of this District and surrounding areas. Iam quite confident that SOYDA and Doctors Worldwide Turkey with close collaboration to MoH to continue in order to support the poor Somali grass root who have no access both health and nutrition delivery services, this center will deliver free nutrition both OTP/SFP and Health service to everybody who are in need and will be operational six days a week.
I sincerely hope that SOYDA will continue to train all hired staff in order to put into practice very soon all integrated management of acute Malnutrition and other protocols in order to offer effective help to patients who suffer from Malnutrition and other communicable diseases. I would like to conclude my speech by wishing that this Opening Ceremony for SHIFA Nutrition and Health center becomes a milestone for a significant advancement in health and nutrition service delivery to this district.
I want to Thank SOYDA partners including UNOCHA, WHO, UNICEF, FIMA, ABLIS FOUNDATION, INTEROS and COOPERIZONE ITALIA who gave great support to SOYDA activities in Somalia, without them nothing could be possible.
